Our Four Goals are:

  • Reach out to and minister to those in our community
  • Take care of our own
  • Teach others to do the same things (duplicate ourselves)

Who we are:

Our History
Incorporated in 1986, Placer County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy was formed as a field service to both Law Enforcement agencies and crisis victims, providing at no cost a dynamic team of specially trained men and women qualified to offer strength, compassion and counsel when tragedy strikes.

The Past
For as long as people have walked this earth, crisis and tragedy have remained dreaded and inescapable visitors to everyone, everywhere. In the days preceding the American Revolutionary War and in anticipation of the inevitable battle for independence, America’s founding fathers successfully encouraged the enlistment of Chaplains to provide for the essential spiritual and moral care of soldiers and government leaders. In more recent years, Chaplaincy programs have been developed and utilized as integral support for law enforcement agencies, fire districts, and citizens, working side by side with first responders, victims, and entire communities impacted by crisis.

Placer County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Today
Recognized by the International Conference of Police Chaplains, Placer County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy has served as a model for chaplaincy organizations worldwide.

A Ministry of Presence
The Chaplaincy is a ministry of presence, supplying a source of strength to law enforcement officers and their families, department personnel, and members of the community. Additionally, our Chaplains are trained to serve the needs of others without religious, racial, social, or gender bias, providing care and compassion for those impacted by crisis and traumatic incidents.
